The marine-grade aluminum chassis is impervious to rot and unaffected by drying cycles, meaning it stays straight and true forever. Our industrial Grit-Surface provides superior mechanical traction to mitigate slip risks in wet weather. And unlike wood that must be torn out when it fails, our system is serviceable: if the grit surface eventually wears down after years of heavy use, you simply replace the tape, not the step.

*Pro Tip: Dissimilar Metals If you are retrofitting steel stair stringers, remember to isolate your materials. Direct contact between aluminum and steel can lead to galvanic corrosion in wet environments. A simple neoprene pad, nylon washer or corrosion protection tape at the mounting point is all it takes to stop the reaction and keep your installation solid for decades.
